Adaware, no.... spybot, yo!

Has anyone noticed that adaware hasn't been putting out any new updates for quite some time? I've found Spybot to be much better at searching my system for spyware, and it's free too!

SpyBot causes my Registry to crash recently....but I'll try it again.
On the other hand, it looks really nice.

If you're still using Ad-Aware 5.x there hasn't been any updates for it since like Sept 2002 ...
Download Ad-Aware 6.0 and you'll have much more recent updates.

Hope this helps!

It still can't clean as well as S&D. Adaware Pro 6 detects only a fraction of the stuff S&D throws back at me. Except cookies. AP6 gets more than S&D. But, as we all know, cookies are not so dangerous and I could live with some of them. If you can get over the ugly interface, S&D performs better, IMO.

lol! Never use Kazaa, the official client. Kazaa Lite is the best you can make out of this crappy p2p. No banners, no popups, no spyware...

Spybot and S&D are the same thing. The full name is Spybot: Seek and Destroy, or something like that. It seems to me to be better than Ad-Aware, though I haven't been using Ad-Aware 6.0. I'll probably just stick with Spybot.
