Problems converting xvid into mpeg (and other problems too!)
hiya,
couple probs i need some help with 1) trying to convert an xvid file into mpeg using TMPGEnc - converts the video fine but not the audio (tried DVD and SVCD NTSC settings - no go on either) 2) i have a .MKV file that i would like to convert so i can burn onto a DVD - any clues as to which progs i can use to achieve that? cheers. |

To use tmpgenc you'll have to split the audio and video, probably using virtualdubmod, then run the audio through a program like audacity, and just use that audio file as the audio source for the project.
Or, you could use a program like Avi2DVD or WinAvi to convert it. WinAvi is faster and easier to use than tmpgenc, but it's not as versitile.
