MSN Messenger & Kazaa
If anyone can tell me of a registry hack or some other edit I can do to stop the incessant prompting I'm receiving from these apps to download the latest versions, I will say "thank you, my good man."
I've also had about enough of MSN Messenger never wanting to remember that I don't want any of their stupid "useful" side-tabs to be displayed.
I: remove
They: reappear
I: wonder why I bothered being conceived
They: laugh at me till their abs do hurt

^ Well KaZaAlite doesn't prompt about updates and now I wouldn't trust anything but the lite version and I don't trust that all that much

Craig I am usin' KazaaLite, and it does prompt for updates
But, I installed Diet Kaza 2.0, and WOOHOO the prompts are gone
To Riva, what is that "hacked participation constantly at 1000" you mentioned? What does that mean?
Thanks guys for replying

Lol, no craig, Diet Kaza isn't crap, it's an add-on for KazaaLite, has a few useful options
Oh, I'm using 1.7.2. What is queue jumping, though?

Well when your waiting in McDonalds and just as you get to the counter, that big fat mommy comes storming past bumps you out the way with a side ripple off her belly and places her order for 5,000 Grill orders. That's a queue jumper. You know the women, she tours the world making appearances in McDonalds everywhere.
In terms of KaZaA when it says Remote Queued, it means your in a queue on the person who has the file's PC. and that queue is supposedly ordered according to your participation level. So if you have 1000 you'll be placed above someone with 500 etc. and effectively jump the queue!

Ha! Don't *ever* upgrade to the last MSN messenger version. It's full of ads, popping out from everywhere. Somebody should hack MSN, too... Or even better, go get Trillian... It's not the usual bloatware branded messenger. Slim, fast and quick connect to several (most used) messenger services.

Damn, I was advertising Trillian. I smell better marketing strategies from your part... You almost made me try this MSN plus. But I won't do it, 'cause I know you can get no better than Trillian...
One month, you say? I was browsing the posts, I had no idea I went so much back in time
