Sound driver problem

Can someone please suggest as to how can rectify my volume on Window xp

Hi there
I don't know exactly what the problem is, but here's a few hints here and there:

START --> SETTINGS --> CONTROL PANEL
go to "Sounds and Audio Devices" and play around with the volume and/or speaker settings

for driver issues - try re-downloading newer drivers from the manufacturer's website and installing them - make sure the drivers are for the correct sound card or onboard component...
