Avira Antivir problem
This is very annoying The free version has a pop up style window that advertises their paid product. that is fine, but, it is very annoying when in the middle of a game it switches focus and minimizes the game.
I disabled the auto update feature so that I can do that whenever I wasn't playing a game etc.
It doesn't give a shit what I told it to do. Even with the option to not auto update, it still does whenever the hell it wants.
Am I doing something wrong or is it broken?

Re: Avira Antivir problem
It seems that the popup has a separate executable and could therefor be blocked by means of system security settings:
Disable the Avira Antivir PE Classic avnotify nag screen

Re: Avira Antivir problem
I have the Avira Antivir Scheduler service set to manual start and start it only when I want to do the update. Everything is under control this way. But the fix mkk posted could work too
