Firefox 3.0.1 bug
so it looks like this is doing this to a lot of people
when upgrading from Firefox 3.0 to 3.0.1, suddenly NO webpages load... looks like FF 3.0.1's DNS resolution doesn't work. If you were to type it google.com's IP in the address bar, it loads... but not "google.com" itself...
hopefully 3.0.2 will be out soon to fix this

Check your software firewall or other security software so that it doesn't block the program just because the executable changed due to the update.

Maybe a bad/incompatible extension, corrupted profile or something similar?

ok I wasn't clear
Firefox 3.0.1 - no extensions, no themes, no firewall, no antivirus, windows firewall off too ---- pages do not load
Firefox 3.0, IE 7.0 etc... ---- pages load
looks like plenty of other people have the same issue ... 3.0.2 coming I guess

seems like every "expert" on the interwebz blames an antivirus/firewall or addon ... but that comment is followed by 150 "euh no" replies
even on firefox official forums... oh well they don't want to admit they screwed something up that's for sure

I just did fresh install and now running Vista with no FW or AV programs and I installed FF 3.0.1 straight away no issues at all... have you tried to uninstall FF then re-install it?
