AIW 9700 fails to find all TV channels
Have basic cable. No set top box, just hook the coax cable right up to the TV. On my TV, I get almost all channels 0-99. Same cable is split to my AIW 9700. When setting up the AIW TV tuner, I go through the setup, select 'United States', 'cable'. Then autoscan. It picks up less than half of the stations that are available on my TV. I disconnected the coax cable from the input of the 9700 and connected it to a TV as a test. It picked up all the available channels(with some fuzz on a few). Again, I simply have basic cable, with no tuner box on top of the TV. Any clues to get all the channels to work? I did try an earlier version of MMC as a fix. It worked the same (not finding all available channels) as version 9.08, so I reinstalled 9.08. Thanks.

Well I had a problem like that before. I don't have a AIW but I do have a HDTV card and I forgot to switch it from Antenna to cable before I did the auto scan. It picked up many more stations. Hope that helps!
EDIT: Now that I read it agian it lookes like you already have set it to cable as you scan. If you tried hooking up the cable to the tv with out splitting it. Try the same thing to the card??? I am sure it is just a simple fix. Your splitter could be dead.

I think it only picks up channels that receive 100% clear, if it gets too much fuzz then it doesn't auto detect it.
If you want them all just go into the TV options and check all the boxes so the channels apper when you flip channels

I manually entered the channels, nothing but fuzz. Not even a hint of a picture. No sound either.

I use tray tools with my aiw-x800xt and no issues here??? I have used an inline cable signal TV amplifier for a weak feed into my house and it worked great... might give one a try.
