Problems with AIW 9600xt

I recently updated to the latest drivers, MMC, and so forth and the TV program seems to be off from my roommates tv. Everything comes in a second or so later. It also happens when using the RCA inputs. I try to play an xbox game on my computer and everythings a second off.

I tried searching for some help on this, and all I found was someone suggesting to turn off the TV-On-Demand. I thought I did this, but if someone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You could try switching to the analog drivers vs. the NSP ones.... not sure how you'd do that, but I'm sure someone here will help you do it.

If you look through some 9600 AiW threads you'd find it

I've been messing with the drivers and nothing seems to work. I'm starting to think its a problem with MMC

did you have the issue when using the other version of the drivers? sometimes using newest drivers isn't always the best way to go..

I finally got a response from ATI Customer Support and they say that the new drivers buffer the audio/video to the hard disk before displaying it. So I guess I'm stuck using the old drivers...now the question is...can I use the new MMC with the old drivers?

Hey Knight this is the new 5.9 drivers on there site? I have also noticed a bit of a lag in things I do...New mmc with the old drivers? sure why not..the drivers are unified, like I went from the version on ly install cd to the newest easily so why wouldn't you be able to go back?..how far back is another question..I think I am gonna put in cats 5.8 and see how things go..I get alot of glitches now..that weren't there before..

I don't remember how far back, all I know is that I have the installation cd which I think is in the 8.x's. The only problem I'm getting so far is that delay. The rest of it works a lot better. For instance, I used to do the thruview window while playing World of Warcraft and the sounds would always get distorted. If I was in the tram it would Echo like everything in the game. Now it doesn't do that. So I'm probably just gonna deal with it and not play xbox that much anymore.

Y'all using the latest MMC (9.08 I believe...) - you may need to drop back a couple versions - I remember reading in a post here a while back that the lag (in changing channels at least...) was introduced with one of the latest versions of the MMC.

I'm running the TV Wonder PCI with my 9600xt, Omegadrive 5.9s, and MMC 9.03 with no lag in tuning from the MMC 7.9 I just upgraded from. Of course, my tuner is analog - I think y'alls AIW 9600xt uses a digital tuner and it is normal (for whatever reason, I don't know) for those tuners to take a tad longer to tune in a station.

The digital tuners used to take longer but the latest drivers really cut the time down.

It ain't so bad, just pick something you like rather than flipping
