ATI AIW 9800 Pro Displaying video in as black and white...
So I just recently got a new MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum mobo and AMD Athalon 64 3500+ cpu. When I reinstalled winxp, upgraded to sp2, got all my drivers installed, and got the ATI MMC installed I decided to try a game of Halo 2. To my disadain the ATI TV program was displaying the picture in black and white. I tried my ps2 and it was displaying black and white as well. I tried a regular rca vga connection and it worked in color. Any ideas why my s-video in would be displaying black and white?

Black and white S-Video seems to be an advanced super cool feature for AIW, VIVO cards.
I havent got any svideo devices to ry video in, but my s-video out to tv with X800 Vivo is black and white, cant seem to change anything to make it otherwise. I know it not the cable as it displays colour fine on my 9800Pro aprt from like a crawling colour effect which i cant shake off. All is fine with composite, but slightly more blury then svideo :/ |

check your AIW video input cable.. give it a little wiggle or reconnect it.. i've experience a similare problem.. and i've also experience an additional problem such as the monitors display when hooked to the DVI connecting producing a yellow green display overlay....

I dont think its so much the cable as the drivers do detect that you have an svideo capable cable connected...just that its black n white only regardless of what ya set :/

Do you have this issue with Windows XP Service Pack 1?

So I pulled out my Input Plug to try and reinsert it as was suggested and low and behold when I looked at the pins one of them was bent. Thanks guys, I would have thought a bent pin would just disable all input.
