No display driver
I have a viewSonic 17PS monitor - a ASUS P4T533 MB and a AIW 9000 Pro
I just did a clean install - I checked device manager to see what driver it was using (the last time it was using the microsoft driver - to my surprise it had none listed - NO DRIVER yet it works ok - WHF? I didnt know this was possible - I wanted to install the new 4.9 drivers but I was just currious as to what to do Most time I just uninstall from add/remove then run Driver Cleaner (I just got the new 3.3 version - any ideas folks Thanks for your time Starship Warrior |

what devices do you have listed in the device manager, under Display Adapters, and under Sound, Video, and Game controllers?

No driver
Thats the point there is no display adapter listed it jumps to DVD Rom Driver
I have not yet installed the sound card drivers it shows some codecs which I guess are from MB ? Dont know I will go ahead and install the ATI (4.9) driver and see what happens Starship Warrior |

now I am confused
Ok this is the results and Boy after months of dealing with ATI drivers I STILL Dont get it - Sorry but somethings just are not too clear
I installed the file called wxp-w2k-8-051-040825a-017633c This is the display driver right ? So far so good I installed microsoft net framework 1.1 (cause the review on toms hardware said it was need So far so good I TRIED to install wxp-cata;yst control center -17633c - no go said something was missing So I installed control panel-8-051-040825a-017633c Not I have what they are calling the new center - So this begs the question what the hell is the catalyst control center for ? Occasionally - when you have no display adapter listed in the device manager, you have to start the process by installing the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) driver, that happened on my latest install adventure...
You might want to start over and try it...
