??? Problems with TV functions on ATI AIW9000 after installing a second card

I recently installed a PCI video card (Diamond Stealth S80 ATI 9200SE based) in addition to my primary AIW 9000 AGP card. I had some issues with the installation initially but these were due to Pivot Pro software that came with my primary Samsung 193P LCD monitor and the 2nd card and monitor (also a LCD)installed as expected after removal of that software (this software can be installed after the card is in without issue but I currently have it off my system). The problem is that installation of the Diamond Stealth drivers results in loss of the video capture and TV functions of the AIW card, although in all other respects the card is working fine. I have tried updating my version of Catalyst (3.8) but I have never managed to do that successfully even before the new card was added. In fact, installing the most recent version of Catalyst also results in loss of TV functions on the AIW card. PC Check indicates that I am missing the correct WDM drivers but attempts to install these (current or the version for Cat 3.8) after uninstalling all of the ATI Capture stuff listed in the Device Manager also results in an error. Am I missing something basic here? I really have no idea why I cannot upgrade my Catalyst suite but it never seems to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am running XP Pro (SP1) on a 2.67 GHz P4 (ASUS P4T533) with 512 MB Ram.

Thanks,

djberg

PS: During the installation of the drivers for the 2nd card, my Canon 5000F scanner also stopped working. That was corrected by uninstalling the scanner software and updating to the newest version of the driver software from the Canon web page. It seems to be fine now.

System Specs

hmmm, try uninstalling all ATI drivers and software, and use DriverCleaner to make sure you're clean.
then install the Catalyst for the 9200 first, then for the AIW9000, along with the WDM/capture drivers.
I'm thinking maybe it's the order that mattters

Some success

Driver Cleaner worked like a charm and I was able to install the latest Catalyst and Control Panel. I found that when I extend my desktop to the second monitor I lose all TV functionality from the primary 9000 AIW card but it returns when I diasable the second monitor via Settings. I would have thought it would work regardless but at least this is a workable solution.

Thanks for tipping me off to Driver Cleaner...what a relief I can now install Catalyst.
