firstly, as I'm new to this forum I would like to say hi to everyone and thanks in advance for any help

Now, I have a friend who has sky digital and wants to record shows to his pc, and then play them back on his tv via the pc, and also burn the shows to dvd etc. He wants the best quality sound etc. I don't know anything about tv capture/output stuff really, so I was wondering if any of you guuys could recommend some hardware that would suit his needs.
I know sky digital in the uk is encrypted, but he has an (analogue) RF output lead on the sky box, but preferably for decent sound etc would prefer svhs or scart if poss, but i haven't seen any card with scart i/o.

Any help would be gratefully received!
