Pissed WinXP boot freezes if TV Wonder 650 PCI installed...

Hi, all! Having a problem I hope you guys can help with... Bought a new ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI card for a new build I'm working on. Whenever I plug the 650 PCI into the MB, Windows XP freezes on boot (stops at IVICD.SYS). If I boot the XP install CD, it freezes during boot; same goes for Vista Business CD. Machine was freezing before I installed the InterVideo software, but I didn't write down what driver it was freezing on at that point, so I suspect the freeze on ivicd.sys is just coincidental. Pull the TV Wonder out and machine works flawlessly.

Motherboard is an Asus A8N32-SLI-Deluxe with AMD Athlon 64 installed; video is Radeon 9250 Pro. This box has run Windows Server 2k3 for nearly a year, then Server 2008 for about a month before I wiped it to build an XP-based box...

Any thoughts? I kinda stuck on what to do at this point.

Then you should determine the cause of freezing prior to all this.

For the fun of it though, did you try PCI slot #3?

Just out of curiosity (as I don't see it listed), is that video card a PCI model? (not PCI express but just regular PCI)? It sounds to me a LOT like an IRQ conflict. For whatever reason the motherboard isn't assigning it an IRQ that it can share with another device.
