ATI Media Center v7.0 for AIW128 on XP?
I've am trying to get a version of the ATI mulitmedia center that will work on XP.
I've tried all my ATI CDs, but none of them have a version that will install on XP.
Does anyone have a copy or the location of a download. ATI, now owned by AMD, doesn't support this old of a card. If anyone knows of a version that will work, please let me know in this forum. I used the version number 7, above, since my web search came up with a thread that mentioned it. Comments, suggestions?
I can't afford to go out and buy a new capture capable card and going back to Windows 98 is not a viable solution.
Alternately, if there is software that will give me control over the tuner and allow the DVR capabilities to function with varying record qualities & resolutions, it would be good, too.
Vern

There is tons of software out there but not much of it is free... but as long as you can get the drivers installed on XP there's no reason to be shackled to MMC (it doesn't seem to work for you anyway and I don't believe v. 7 supported XP).
DScaler is the only free thing I can think of that should work... but if you want to buy some software then there are alot more options

Shoot, sorry I've been out - I've got an AIW128 on a computer (PIII 733) running XP Pro at work - I'll check the version and post back on Monday - k?
Shoot, sorry, got busy and forgot - need to email myself - try again tomorrow (Wed. the 14th - consider it a Valentine!).

Late again swimtech
I think Robscix liked VideoLAN but I don't know how well that'd work as a DVR (works great for most everything else)

Thanks for the reminder Hex - The MMC version is 7.1, and the driver it works with is the last for the Rage 128 (6.13.3279.0). Sorry so late, I keep forgetting about this at work...
