All in Wonder Radeon 7500--no tv audio

Ok I am last in line when it comes to understanding computer hardware. I was given this ATI all in wonder and I installed into my computer. That part I could handle. When I play cd and dvd everything is fine. But when I hooked my tv cable in, I got video but no sound. I have read that you need to connect your ATI card to your sound card. Unfortunetly I don't understand how to do that. Can anyone, please help a drowning caveman. Thanks

It's simple. There should be a diagram that came with the card. Follow that

Actually if you can't find that what you'll need is your sound card manual which you can find online... then look for the line in port, there should be a little blue plug that looks like a headphone plug coming out of your AiW card somewhere, then you plug that in.

I'm not sure what an AiW 7500 has connections wise but it should be similar to that

This issue I have also experienced before I use AMCap. It can redirect captured audio to your sound card so you dont need to use another cable to connect between audio out of turner and audio in of your sound card.

He may need that anyway because I don't think his card supports digital pass through drivers (i.e. the WDM_NSP and onward) so for every other application and for the TV Tuner he wouldn't get sound, so I think connecting the line in cable is the best option

Make sure the line out on the all in wonder 7500 is connected to the line in plug on your sound card.
Start the tv and click on the box with a checkmark button on the tv control panel to access the tv settings. Click on the Dicplay tab and then click on the Initialization Wizard button at the lower left. Advance through the pages to the Audio Configurations box and follow the instructions. Then complete the setup.
If you still don't hear sound open the volume control icon in the sys tray of the task bar and make sure that the "line in" source is not muted. If it is uncheck the mute button at the bottom of the line in slide bar.
If your tv is installed correctly you should hear the sound if you do not alread hear it.

The wizard unmutes line in by default I think and turns it to max... which is why it blares out of my speakers when I run that infernal application
