ATI Tv Wonder VE capture issue

Hello,

I have an ATI Tv Wonder VE card installed. I used downloaded drivers from ati.amd's site including mmc 9.06. The issue I have is that I have no way of capturing video. The record icon does not show on the controls. See below screen shot. When I have installed the drivers from the original disc I can record fine but have this clunky interface.

Any of you folks know of what could cause this? Thanks in advance.
