Disable FM-On-Demand

Hello all,

does anybody know if it is possible to disable FM-On-Demand, so that you are really listening to Live FM with no HDD activity?

I am mainly asking this because of another problem a lot of people noticed: the fact that, for those of us lucky enough that they have decent FM reception in the first place, the sound is always Mono and never Stereo, even though MMC tells you that it is.

This is because FM-On-Demand is always on! If you could really disable it, your sound would be Stereo! So, that is why I ask!?...

FYI you could have merged this with the other thread

In this instance it won't matter, I think the antenna I got with my card is only good for mono reception, I only get stereo if I use BeyondTV for FM duties

Thanks for your answer!

So you are saying BeyondTV gives you Stereo on your AIW X800XT!? I suppose it is live too, I mean not like FM-On-Demand?
But as I said, when you could turn FM-On-Demand off you would have Stereo in MMC too! Isn't there somewhere a Registry setting to turn this off, like there is in the newer MMC to turn TV-On-Demand off?

Well I don't bother with MMC much.

BeyondTV has a pause function but it doesn't cripple quality like MMC.

For registry, I'd check under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l

See if its in there under video or WDM maybe
