Humpe75 is on a distinguished road

ATi 1950XTX VIVO

Hi, I'm new here and have a pretty stupid question maybe, but this seems to be the right place to ask the question I have. I just built myself a new computer running windows XP. I'm trying to get the video in working on my new graphic card, I was hoping I could use an old s-video kamera I got as a webcam but I can not get it to work. I installed the drivers for the T200 device but then what? How can I configure it? Shouldn't I be able to choose input or something like that? I can not find any settings anywhere for the capture device?

I managed to get a picture from the cam in some crappy program I got with the card (CYberlink PowerDirector) so I know it's connected and that the cam is working. Isn't it possible to do what I want or am I just really stupid when I don't get it to work?

Help

/H

Welcome to the forums, humpe! (nice name, btw )

Essentially you are on the right track with CyberProducer in that you need a piece of software that captures video. You can either use ATIs own MultiMedia Center off of their website (might even be on the CD that came with the video card), or another piece of software like Ulead VideoStudio, Adobe Premiere, Blaze Media Pro, or even VirtualDub.

In any case, you might be interested in THIS page which directly talks about ATIs MMC, and THIS page that talks about VirtualDub. Actually, you might want to give the whole article a read as it deals with video capturing. Either way that article should get you going.

DScaller might be a better idea, actually (along with ATI's MMC). The other ones I suggested are more in lines with video capturing than displaying.

Well DScaler same idea... MMC is a royal P.I.T.A. to config even for simple VIVO.
