Well, you would definatley need to set the application up to get the best picture quality possible. Another thing you may run into is video lag...

Actually, ATI had officially stated the VIVO abilities were not supported nor ever going to be supported under windows XP x64. (wow did i ever get pissed off when i was told this but several ati support ticket people).

The only way i got something to work was using a combination of windows media Encoder (which would produce the best image and less amount of lag).. but it crashed often, it would corrupt often, it would look horrid often, and it would lag to much to actually play any game that require good reaction or accuracy. In short, Sad to say this, but acording to ati, your shit outa luck (and so are thousands of other people here including me)

Confirmed.

If you're really serious about playing the Wii on your PC, you could look into a monitor that also supports the composite in and an RCA --> 1/8" adapter for your sound card so you can just play native on the monitor and then use your PC speakers for sound. That or get a better capture card/TV tuner combo

I was experimenting with my X800XL and PS2 last year and got to work with Medial player classic "open device" after the drivers were installed. No lag at all. Played GT4- didn't look great though. Just kind of fuzzy.

That was a sad day... it's really to bad when all hell broke loose the moment they put in a digital audio stream setup, which instantly caused everyones problems. They could have had a killer product.... but blew it

BWX, x86 works relatively well (which many problems still). but x64 it's utterly pointless and ati tech support team has stated this over and over again, and actually have gotten REALLY pissed off at me for pushing on it for ages.

Well yeah they obviously care nothing about their customers.. That's the main reason I have an Nvidia card in my machine. I got sick of ATI's lack of customer support on that issue- no excuse for it.

I wonder if AMD is any better? I guess its good that I haven't had to deal with customer support from either party
