i thought i'd clean out my pc wiht all un-used registry entries, duplicate files etc. etc.
After i've done this my desktop is half as full as it was before, i get errors, cant find this, cant find that... firefox lost its bookmarks (damn!) and all that kinda stuff...
i feel bad now...
well, not so much.. was planning on doing a full format anyway.. but still...
officially fucked... everything has lost their minds...
almost every program i got needs to be re-installed.. guess what ill be doing in the weekend..
...format...

That's what some "cleaners" do, remove things you don't need along with a few critical system files/registry entries
I use Total Uninstall and sometimes I uninstall some application with it and suddenly another one stops working. It may be quite difficult to get it working again. That's why I don't use TUN as much as I did in the time I discovered it

Easycleaner sucks! I had a similar experience with it years ago- (but not as bad, I didn't need to reformat till a few months later) but I did eventually need to reformat.
I use Crap Cleaner now, but you still have to be careful. It does a good job though.

CCleaner is my current favourite, does what it's told and nothing more.

There's one functionality of EasyCleaner that I like. It's the Hard drive usage function. It tells you how much space each folder is taking for all your folders. It's useful when you need to need to find what to delete to free space on your harddrive. You can find out what takes the most space.
I don't touch the other functionalities. It's too risky.
