help with guitar rig/rig kontrol 2 in cubase

here's my set up:
-mac powerbook g4 running osx tiger
-guitar rig 2 w/ rig kontrol
-cubase se (I purchased se with the intention of upgrading to sx as soon as it get the cash
here's the problem:
I run my guitar through rig kontrol 2 and from there the signal gets sent to my mac via usb. guitar rig works excellent when I use it by itself. This is not the case when I try to use it in cubase se. When I open an audio file and click the monitor button all that comes out is static and when I switch channels I get horibble latency. My input is set to rk2 through the devices menu but the direct monitoring button is greyed out, which the manaul says is caused by improper asio driver. These divers would probably solve all my problems but I have no Idea where to find them outside of NI's update center. does anyone know where I can find these drivers and which ones I should use without having to go through NI registration.(I upgraded from a guitar rig 1 cd that I purchased off of ebay and have been using keygenerators to install gr1 and then upgrade to gr2. so theres no way to register my copy.)
any help would be greatly appreciated

Maddogg6 will become famous soon enough

sorry - I doubt many here will be of much help.. as its a KX driver forum, which is a windows driver replacement for SBLive/Audigy cards.

BUT - if your having problems with monitor latency in cubase - you seem to be on the right track in it being bad drivers.
Only I would suggest asking the sound device makers for the driver/updates/help - as I strongly suspect ASIO is not packaged with GR but with the sound driver - which is also the case in windows.

From there you may want to ask in the NI forums - maybe mac users there can shed more light on the subject...
