some metal songs i recorded for Gusknuckle

Hey everyone havent posted for a while, anyways i recorded these songs live off the floor with all instruments miced seperately except for bass (direct box).I used a behringer 16 channel eurorack dumped to 2 tracks using fruity loops 6.and of course the kx drivers which allow me to use vst compresion on the fruity that actually records what u hear.I,ve noticed no progs that i know of do that. I find it very handy for doing live off the floor stuff when u dont have any outboard gear.Anyways have a listen and critique if u like. By the way the band is looking for a singer so if anybody from the area is intereted contact them from their page.ok here is the link http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=75629672. Also i have a new song up on my site called purpleish check it just a cheesy demo but it,s still cool http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...0-1f8ab7366579

Maddogg6 will become famous soon enough

Damn this forum for it making me miss new posts...

well - myspace audio compression wise... yes
(I dont think it does much to flatter)

First off - I love the riffs - the performances seems pretty tight too.
But I dont really care for them as 'instrumentals'. So all in all - I guess the ONLY bad thing is that 'somethings missing' and assume its 'vocals'. (my stuff has same problem...eh)

I just hope if you are looking to add vocals - that I wouldnt hear the typical death growls vocals that I am growing tired of from the infered genre I hear musically otherwise.

- heh you asked

Great stuff otherwise.

Piece,
Mark

Don't worry for the lack of response. It's just that there's not much people reading this part of the forum. I actually went to check out the songs when you posted the first post a few months ago but since I'm far from being an expert in the genre, I did not know how to judge it.

The members of the group all seem to be experienced because they all play to the beat well and fast. But the lack of singer is apparent.

The recording sounds weird a little. Maybe it's the live environment that does that.

I find that the bass guitar is too quiet in the recordings. At first I thought there was none and now I think I hear one. I like bass but I don't hear much of it, maybe partially because of the low bitrate encoding.

How many members are there?

Great tunes, Listening at work with pc speakers, and my space audio compression does suck, but the performance is skillful. I can hear all the instruments well even with pc speakers.

Those of us kXers on MySpace ought to add each other as friends. I added you Gusknuckle.
