ATI / DriverHeaven Folding@Home Contest & Interview
I recently had the chance to sit with Andrew Dodd in ATI/AMD and asked him a few questions about the new folding @ home client and how the enthusiasts who visit our site could help ATI with this worthy cause.
ATI have also offered A X1900XTX video card to a lucky DH'er, so for information on how to enter and win this amazing video card as well as helping ATI support this worthy cause, please visit this page on DH

Indeed!
I've put two C2D's on the job!
Edit: When running F@H with a dual core CPU, is it better to set it to run on one core (affinity) or just let it do its thing balancing on both cores?

nice, im in it! shoulda been earlier(for the cause), and i have before, just for the helluvit and stability, btw, how is F@H as a stability test, and i should be able to use it all the time as it only uses extra CPU cycles right(shouldnt see a perf decrease?)? what about when gaming?
Thanxs ATI and DH for another great contest!

trillian causes unwanted sexual harm to Folding@home. lol.
seriously though Trillian screws it up. The text version seems to be okay but the graphical version goes insane.

....
ok been running it for about an hour?
tried with crossfire enabled and disabled....
and tried running default F@H settings and with settings that "should" force it to tone down durring computer use.
In any case, browsing forums or doing much off anything seems to be delayed about 5 seconds sometimes.... and occasionally some windows will stop responding completely for ages.

It's really stupid that this client can't run on the X1900 GT I have at work. That's a stupid limitation.

It's really stupid, that you can't get it work.
The GPU client works with all X1900s (and X1600 ).
Check some threads in F@H's forum:

First time I've even done this, i'll configue tonight to get it to run better (dual core CPU). Maybe I'll set up the lappy, itt just runs most the time and doesn't do much but browse the web when the desktop is in use. Can you have the same user running more than one comp?
