JIUHB stepping any good for OC?
I have a chance to get:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
JIUHB "0302"
9
Does anyone knows anything about OCing possibilities of this stepping?
I can get it for around $80 (yes, I know that it is high price, but this is Croatia )
I have MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU (KT333), so I would like to know what about unlocking it's multiplier (it's unlocked by default on KT400 only, right ?).

There was a thread a while ago about various Thoroughbreds . . .
It said those that start with "J" are "low-end" Thor-B, and those that start with "A" are the high-end Thor-B.
I'm not sure what that designation means exactly, or if it would impact OC'ing, but it's some info
EDIT: here's the thread, sticky at Tech Discussion: TBreds or Low Breds? Which Codes Mean What

You should never expect to be able to get anything out of any particular chip, since there will always be the extremely exceptional chips and the extremely unexceptional chips out there, even from the same stepping/week/etc... its very dependant on cooling, voltage, etc. too...

It is identical to what I have. Same week, same stepping, same speed.
Manage to get mine running 200MHz x 10.5 @ 1.75v using SLK800.

mmm
Sry guys but some of you are WAY wrong, it's not rare to see a JUIHB hits 2300 mhz and I've seen alots people running 2500 mhz. The JUICB is able hit 2000 and often more. I'm running a JUICB at 2130. JUIGB is a bit better then JUICB and a bit "slower" then JUIHB. Oh yeah btw. i saw at VRzone a JIUHB "0302" hit 3200 mhz :o Offcourse it will require a goo mobo, if you wanna FSB overclock og get your tbred unlocked and clock using multi or better yet get a epox nforce 2, best oc board and is able to unlock tbred cpu's from the BIOS
