ASIO inputs not showing up in cubase

I just picked up the SB live! value soundcard and installed KX drivers. My outputs seem to be working fine, but i can't get any input to show up in any audio recording program. I'm running a preamp through the microphone input, since the line-in on this card is not stereo. I get playback, but no recording.

my DSP seems to be routed correctly.. with RecL going into RecL & Asio0, and RecR going into RecR & Asio1

in cubase, the VST System link shows nothing but strange characters for ASIO input & ASIO output

I have the KX asio driver selected for the asio driver in the VST multitrack settings

any help on this issue would be awesome

Are you saying that your SBLive has a mono line in and a stereo mic input? I have never seen one like this. What is the model number of your card?

Getting playback, but not being able to record has to do with your recording setup, not whether the input is stereo or mono.

Custom DSPs are much easier to use than the mixers, at least in my opinion. Take a look at these using ProFX. The pictures are somewhat outdated, the graphics of ProFX have been updated since then and you will find Line In and Mic in the ProFXADC plugin.
