Xgl R O C K S
I have tried it yesterday on my Radeon 9600/AMD64 PC and today on my Mobility 9700 laptop.
It simply R O C K S. It's just plainly awesome. I finally found something to attract the girls to be around me when I have a laptop and do some work on it...  Any other experiences? Anyone else tried it. Oh, BTW, for some reason it didn't work on my 8500-to-9100 hacked Hercules Radeon card. Whatever; that's my brother's machine, and he currently isn't interested in using Linux, because he mostly plays games. |

New desktop
Yeah I''m going to get the mandriva distro to check out the new xgl and the other one agli?
Suppose to be really nice, better then the fugly thing on most linux desktops. As long as its not the beginning of a windows os trend where the os looks nicer but less stable. |

Well, to be fair the Mandriva/Mandrake distro it not known for being stable as they like to use bleeding edge packages and some silly optimisations.
