SB Live value wont record any audio

Hi Guys,

Im running a SB LIve Value on Windows XP. The KX playback and midi control latency is great. however i do not seem to be able to record any sound. In contorl pannel - sound and audio devices propertys - audio - recording devices, i cannot bring up a volume windows. If I do look at the volume for recording its all greyed out. I know the audio signal is getting to the line in because it is comeing out of the output. i just will not record on MS sound recorder, or cool edit pro.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried the generic and CT 4832 value drivers, same problem.

Regards,

Andy.

The greyed out windows mixer is not a bug - use KX mixer/DSP for evertyhing instead.

Goto KX Mixer - AC97 Page - set the record source drop down to desired input (or a mix - and adjust the individual AC97 inputs)
Then goto KX Mixer - recording page - Adjust the AC97 level and un mute it - the make sure the master recording level is up enough.
