TV Capture for Mac?
My friend has expressed an interest in watching TV on her Macbook. Do you guys have any ideas on what to buy?
Edit:
On a completely different note, I have an Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II card, is there any way to get DScaler to work?

Check Hauppage's website to see if they have a Mac supported PCI Card version of their card, they might and Hauppage is apparantly one of the better ones... I wouldn't bother with ATI in this case if it were me
I can ask my aunt, she's big into Mac's and see what she says.

Awesome Thanks. I know ATI says none of their cards are supported on Macs.

Hauppauge has some USB cards for Macs, but they don't say if they support the new intel based ones. Do you have any tips on getting Dscaler to work with the card I have?

DScaler on a Mac? No idea unless you run boot camp then you can use the USB Card. If its an Intel Mac then use boot camp then run XP and use that for TV work, MUCH easier to do for a PC user trying to help a Mac user out

I'm sorry, I edited in another question about my setup because I didn't want to start another thread. DScaler doesn't work on my MCE PC which has a Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCR II card in it.

Does the PVR card register as a WDM device or not, I think DSCaler just reads WDM devices.

If it ran on a PowerPC it will run on an Intel CPU almost garanteed. There is an emulation program called Rosetta included with in OS X that shipped with all Intel-based Macs.
