x800xt pe VIVO hardware
what comes in the box of the x800xt pe VIVO in terms of hardware? the gfx card (duh, lol), the DVI cable, a molex power adapter/extender, s-video cable/adapter, and some RCA wires is what came in my box. However, for some reason, i was under the impression that also came a small purple box that had some additional inputs/outputs for the gfx card. or is what came inside the box all that i get?
i'll take a pic if i could later to show what i mean.

the purple box only comes with all-in-wonder cards. your s-video/composite "wires" should be in the form of a dongle that has the input/output for composite/s-vid together, in lieu of the purple box, which only has "outs".

i still want the purple box. if i were to get one from somebody, would it still be able to work in place of the s-video/composit dongle?

it should. the vivo/aiw connector shares the same pin layout, but of course, as i do not currently ahve an AIW card, I cannot confirm this 100% for ya.

I don't think the dongle will work, it has sound inputs/outputs in it...a VIVO card doesn't

The pins would be different though unless the connector for SVideo/composite on the VIVO card has the audio pins but they're not connected. Stupid though as if that's the case you could use a regular Svideo connector which makes more sense

a VIVO card does have that little 4 pin audio port, which uses that 4 pin gray cable that goes from the CD-ROM to the sound card. So, i'm assuming that a VIVO card does have audio functionality.
AFAIK, the difference between a VIVO and an AIW card is that the AIWs have a built in TV Tuner card...
