can i use 35.34 with 2ZS platinum ?

hi

i plan to buy an audigy 2zs platinum (before its too late)
But i wouldnt like to use latest drivers (3537 or 38) as they seem less efficient (and also and mainly, i hate the new volume handling (with db)).

Can i run this soundcard with the 3534 ?

thanks

what do you plan to use this card for?
would it make sense to get a non creative card (by the way)?

I am using the Audigy 2ZS SB0350 with 3534f. It gets named "kX Generic" or something like that, (it's upstairs, I'm downstairs now and lazy), but it seems to be fully functional.

If you have another card with SPDIF I/O and you hook it up via SPDIF cable to a card using the kX drivers, they should work. (in theory).

I have never tried a different card with a card using kX but other people up here have.

i think he means installing kX on another card
that won't work

however doug is right, hooking up any soundcard via spdif should work (i use onboard sound for an extra line in)

No you can't.
What Max (probably) meant is; why are you so eager to buy a Creative card?
Most people use kX because they already have (are stuck with) a Creative card.
Not the other way around..
