I wanted to know it ati was aware of this strnge issue. the latest and also previous drivers wouldn't let dapper turn off. i'm almost for suer it's the drivers fault 'cause with the open source it goes fine, but after installing fglrx it won't turn off. its a problem that many have after googling around. hope it will be fixed soon!
