From 4X to 8X

Would I see a huge difference in FPS from my 9800 Pro from 4X to 8X? My motherboard is just a 4X agp and I was wondering how much of a gain I would see if my motherboard was 8X.

I saw a noticable difference going from 4x-8x with my 9700pro.

I didn't notice any gain when I switched from 4x to 8x. There shouldn't be much of a difference because it hardly uses more bandwidth than AGP4x can deliver. I beleive it was said it would only increase by a few percent when switching to agp8x at the time it came out.

H3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enough
System Specs

Its only worth it if you want to upgrade to an X800 or so later on and the mobo has a whole new set of features you need.

TBH it'd be better to scrap it and go PCI-E. My next system is just gonna be a whole new one, not gonna try keeping anything from this one.
