ATI 1900XTX 3d display problem; hardware or software?
Heya all,
I have a strange problem and I cannot figure out if it is hardware or software based. Every 3D app will run perfectly on startup until windows XP has been idle for about 2 hours, Then when displaying any 3d, it will start mixing in previously rendered frames while running. so, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-4-9-10, the more hours that I wait the problem gets even more apparent 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-2-9 so to speak.
Once I restart windows, everything is perfect again. The only expection to this is oblivion for some strange reason, that is the only 3d app that runs fine at any time . Have tried catalyst 6.3,6.4,6.5beta, and currently trying omega drivers. only 2 conflicking irq's, NVIDIA nForce4 serial ATA Controller, NVIDIA Network Bus Enumerator. any idea's?
AMD X2 4.2
2gb ddr1 Corsair
Asus A8N-SLI
ATI Gigabyte 1900XTX
WindowsXP pro sp1
SATA1 seagate HDD

Maybe you should try to uninstall ATI drivers, then reinstall your mobo chipset drivers and then reinstall ATi drivers. I hope you will be able to solve it

So, I replaced the bios on my motherboard, reinstalled some newer chipsets and upgraded to SP2, Now my system runs smoother then a sumo wrestler transplanted with the brain of a Mexican dog eating pleasurable to a certain bigger sized single stitched thingy they wear.
have a good day me and everyone else.
