O shit Man that really sucks.... I hope you had some insurance.
Well I hope you get something worked out. Maybe they can fix the damage? It really does not look that bad. But then again I have not seen the engine.

hard to tell, but the damage only looks to be on the body panels. from what i can see, looks like it could be a pretty easy fix.

if it's anything like mine, unless they total it, you'll only pay $1000.
If they do total it, and you haven't payed the car off yet, they should give you what you payed for it

At this time I would think it would be hard to laugh it off.... I think he really enjoyed this car and well he learned something today: Don't buy cheap wheels and or breaks! Or if they were top notch maybe slow it down next time

yea...i'm fine. i'm just sore now. i wasn't hurt at all except for a small bruise on my right arm.
most of the damage to my car can be seen on the pix i put up. there is some more damage on the driver's door and front left quarter panel that isn't shown by any of the pix above. makes the door hard to open and close. though, because i did go up on the rail before i went down into the ditch, my car may have recieved some frame damage. if that's the case, i'll just have it totaled, take out what i want sold, such as the aftermarket leather seats . If it is totaled though, i'll buy me a daily driver type car, and then once i graduate from college and have me a good paying job, i'll buy me another RX8 .
as for the speed on the turn, i was doing about 40Mph. basically i overjudged the turn, the tires couldn't handle it, and my car understeered.
the wheels and brakes are factory, but when you're traveling at that speed, and try and brake hard on dirt, all you'll do is slide until you stop where you stop. I happened to stop in a ditch.
oh yea....if you guys want more pix, i have them.

Well hey, all damage aside, it's good you are ok. Could have been a lot worse, a whole lot worse. Glad you escaped injury!

Holy crap that sucks man! Don't total it out- get it fixed and keep the car. It must be worth at least 20 grand, so I doubt it is totaled.. Most times you don't have a choice anyway- the insurance adjuster will be the one who makes the call.
The problem is that if you do get it repaired, it will never be worth the same as if it was never in an accident.. so that sucks.

Insurance will probably value it at around $18-19,000.
Subtract what you owe left on the car, and that's your cash in hand....sucks, I know...but that's what you get if they total it out.
