The file seems not to be available
I have tried it, but there seems to be no appropiate file on the server, which is linked on Creative Asia.
Maybe not released ?

*cough*Creative doesn't care*cough*
I will try to check it tomorrow. Sorry, I just can't today, I am to tired - but I promise that I will try tomorrow (I have kX and they work perfectly).
Not sure that some work can be done here, but it is worth trying.

Those drivers installed a new "Theme engine", probably to fix the issues with multi-channel and EAX presets. Works fine, the theme engine (-version) is also displayed in the Help -> About screens of the apps. But since the EAX control did not get updated I'm getting a crash/exception when I try to open Help -> About there. Have to reboot then since CTCMS.EXE get's stuck without an app window, can't even kick it. (WinXP)
Reproducable on your systems or did I do something wrong?
-BlueSteel
EDIT: Happened only once so far (first time after reboot) so this may not be a big issue...
Rest works perfectly well on my Audigy1, just a bit strange that the OpenAL32.dll didn't get updated since .282; either it's mature or they just gave up

Did anyone else notice the changed (worse) headphones-sound with CMSS enabled? CMSS really helps producing a fuller soundfield on headphones, really noticable with mono sources. Also the 3D-positiong seems much better with CMSS enabled, so I don't want to turn it off.
But now it seems they tinkered with the settings; if I enable it the heights/treble -whatever you call it- are REALLY high/loud, some MP3s I could bear with full volume now produce ear-piercing high sounds, sounds terrible. Also the background hiss you have in some recordings got much louder.
Maybe it's really just a better reproduction of the original sound, but I liked the previous version better...
Interesting is that the only change regarding headphones is "Improved front panel headphones support.".
What's that supposed to mean anyway? Isn't that front-panel just something like an extensioning cord for the connectors?

Well:
Is there a special procedure for installing these updates on a SB live 1 that already has installed audigy 2 drivers?. Something like CTCOMP, or similars?
Thanks in advance

To install it for a Live, just run CTZAPXX.exe.

now i have some weird interference with my cdrom and harddrive... i can ear when a cd is spinning in the drive.
i didn't have that with the 283. I uninstalled 283 and installed the 324 after. is that ok, or should i install the new ones over the 283?
also, the appz did't work after the update, Mixer and Speaker setup...
i have to be doing something wrong

I don't know how much does this matter, but you should install 324 over 323 - and 323 over 283. That's what CL says.

this is the scores i get in 3dmark03 with these drivers on an audigy 1
No sounds 53.9 fps
24 sounds 48.0 fps
60 sounds 43.4 fps
bit of a ripoff if you ask me esp with 60 sounds (3dstreams) I am glad i didn't "upgrade" to A2
