TigerDirect own's ULTRA Products and my experience with both companies has not been good.
I wanted to add a link to the thread to show everyone what I have had to deal with concerning TigerDirect and Ultra Products.

I have to admit that sometimes you can find a good deal with Tiger, however I, as well as others I know have had nothing but bad experiences with them. I've had them lie right to my face (and in their adverts) about warranties just to make a sale (they stipulated that an LCD had a 3 year warranty when infact it had a 1 year warranty, and refused to even speak to me about it), and they lie in their advertising just to hook customers (I know it's a common theme with all retailers, but these guys consistantly post ads for products they know people want, yet not one of their stores have EVER had any of them instock, AND when you call them to find out if they have it they say they do, but that's not the case when you get there). I also had one customer complain that when they went to purchase an item from them which was one price in the ad that they were charged a different price when they paid for it. When they complained the Tiger manager said that, and I quote, "We didn't expect such a demand for this item. We're losing money as it is, so we had to up the price back to it's non-sale price to cover the cost". WTF?! Guys, I couldn't stop laughing when he told me that.
If you see something that is a good price, and are willing to make it a "final" purchase (ie. don't expect a warranty or a possibility to return/exchange it) then Tiger Direct is ok. Otherwise....

oops. I voted yes but I never bought anything there. I confused them with another online store. I have something good to say about them anyway. I saved $20 CAD because of them but they did not make any profit out of it.
I bought a processor this week. The price of this cpu was $20 cheaper at Tiger Direct than at NCIX. NCIX matched the price and I bought it at NCIX since I also had other components to buy there.

I normally don't buy stuff online and usually buy stuff at your typical brick and mortar store. Yeah I'm old fashioned, but I don't have to wait for shipping.
The thing is every item I buy at Tiger, I save so much money and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. So basically, it's all good. Most of the items I buy there are cheaper than Best Buy, Comp USA, Circuit City, etc.
All I know is that the employees at Best Buy are like John Madden. They both talk out of their asses.
The best part about Tigerdirect is that it is only 20 minutes away from my house so I can go to their outlet store and buy the item there. No shipping charges and I get it there too since the warehouse is connected to the store.

Ive spent about 6 grand with tigerdirect, not a single complaint. Shipping is fast, and RMA is about the same.

Tiger Direct in Canada is decent, but they always ship UPS which i cannot stand, which is enough for me not to buy from them.

bought a bit from Tiger, ok i guess, shipping isnt too fast but they get the job done and everything is packed well....
around here..... UPS is ok, Fedex for some reason doesnt use doorbells and just walks away leaving the attempted delivery notice on the door.... very inconvenient
packages i recieve from UPS are in very good shape

I purchased from Tiger Direct Canada and my cpu was shipped from the USA in less time than orders from Canada have taken. At the time, the price was excellent though I haven't spotted as many deals lately...still, I'd easily recommend Tiger Direct.
