3,5mm to rca cable
hello,
i have a creativelabs live 5.1 player and i connected the digital out from the card to the digital in (rca) of my receiver. When i play a movie from dvd with dts i doesn't send this information to the receiver. The receiver still stays on dobly pro logic instead of dts.... The same problem with .avi movies that contains ac3 6 channels..
is there a solutions for this problem?
greetings
Sander

AC3 passthrough does not work with 10k1 cards like yours, you'll have to stick with stereo sound, or use analogue connections

yes, the normal analogue outputs
you'd need a 10k2 based card (audigy 1/2) for ac3 passthrough to successfully work

You would use the 3 analog outputs (Front L&R / Rear L&R / Center & LFE) for 5.1
