A64 3DMark01 scores.. ??
25868 3D marks
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8925288
I'm working my way up on this CPU.. about 2.6ghz so far *2.2 default)
-only bumped vcore to 1.4... HTT @ 4x, so ram is running at 183 or so, loose timings for now, I want to see what this will do before I tighten them up.
What are others with A64's getting? (or any CPU for that matter)

Actually no idea...I will install it and report back in a minute..
Update: I got 30687 with my Opty @ 2.8 RAM @ 216 cas 2-3-3-6 and the 7800GT at its factory clock (450/1100)

Hmm, well if I get mine up to 2.8, and I am able to get my ram stable at tighter timings, maybe I can get close to that anyway..
2001 is primarily a system benchmark to me now..
Thanks..

Yeah you should come close to 30k (or more) with your gear, but I believe 3dmark2k1 is pretty sensitive to mem timings/speed...
Btw, what RAM are you using anyway?

Well it is pretty fast ram, but the configuration is the problem...
it is 2x 256 OCZ platinum EL limited edition pc3200 (2-2-2-7 BH6 chips matched)
and then 1x 512 OCZ EL platinum (2-3-2-5)
That stuff was crazy expensive when I bought it too..
But it seems to be working ok, it will run 2-3-3-7 @ 400mhz in this rig as it is right now at default voltage, it will probably do 2-2-2-5 if given some juice.
I am just trying to see what my CPU will do now and using loose timings, then tune memory later.
Also using 4xHTT and 333mhz ram and raising the FSB up so in the end I will have near 400mhz ram, 1000mhz HTT, and 2.7 or so ghz.. At least I want to try that first..
I think the 2x 256, 1x512 config will hurt the performance in the long run, I plan on getting 2x 1gig of matched sticks and then then everything will work better I am sure.

Ok, I'm sure you'll get the scores up after you finished tweaking... But as you said it probably will get a bit speedier with a matched pair. And if you decide to get 2Gb that PC will fly!

Btw, can the RAM take 1T? It will give a very healthy boost to the performance. I see you're using the A8N-E, it doesn't have the same nasty bug that the SLI- Delux has has it? Because that mobo wouldn't run anything over 240mhz at 1T....

Yeah that will be cool..
Also I just called eVGA.. it will cost me a total of 80 DOLLARS to upgrade to a bran new 7900GTX!!
I will be w/o a PC for a week probably, but damn, that upgrade program is sweet- they will give me every penny I paid for this GTX toward a 7900GTX..
I have to do it.

I don't know.. I know my ram will run 1T... but not sure about this mobo. Nit sure if it has that bug or not. It would really suck if it did.

I will be w/o a pc though (no PCI-e cards lying around), or have to build a new one out of spare parts or whatever.. but yeah, it is an amazing deal. 80 more dollars, and I can get a 7900GTX IF MY WIFE doesn't bug out.
2.7 and rising...

3DMark Score 26627 3D marks
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8925441
Some more tweaking needed..
edit--
closer.....
Then to tune up ram.. and see what happens.
All that on a stock cooler with some AS Ceramique.. Don't even really need an aftermarket cooler I guess.

Adjust mem to T1 command (changing nothing else) and windows won't boot..
I am going to try to keep upping voltage to memory to see if it will boot up. Strange thing is it goes into memtest86+ no prob and shows no errors during tests. That really SUCKS ASS - I wish I knew about that bug before I bought it.

Anyway.... I can run tighter timings, but definitely weird things happen at 1T command rate. I can get windows to boot, but then it is unstable.. I decided to shut it off.. I even tried to raise voltage of mem but it didn't help, I went as far as 2.8v.
I think it must be that bug, because I only ran this at 1T for it's entire life in the socket A Abit NF7.. Strange.

I am running this at almost 2.8ghz though, that's not bad on default cooling.. only kicking up voltage a little.
That 2T command is really slowing things down though.
Edit- yet again...
this CPU kicks ass though... I think it would do 3+ghz under right conditions.
