yes the CD is for both 32bit and 64bit.
and you should easily find the latest vista drivers for 32bit and 64bit vista on www.ati.com

how is it. I am waiting for the new build which came out yesterday Same version but with loads of bug fixes from last week.

This is the stable one i was told (I work with someone from M$ here)

u mean the . 17 \ .60 thing, i read sum where from googlin the only updates were to server, not any client side? dunno, i ll dig around. how can i confirm if im runnin 32\64 bit??

the video driver that default installs mostly looks ok but a couple right click menus looked like really old old text, downloaded that ATI driver that is for the previous build, extracted and manually installed the driver only, reboot and all looks good

Big Grin

Helpful tip of the day: Don't install Vista Beta Builds. Stick with XP.

The fact that Vista "still" does not work with the most popular soundcards (SBLive! 5.1 and The Audigy Series) should tell you enough. Not to mention that the latest Nvidia drivers for it also suck. You also cannot really install many programs, for instance, Symantec AV or games because they don't work properly.

Who would want to install Symantec anyway? System hog POS that misses 10-20% of viruses

Some people like having a preview of new software/hardware... myself included... I installed the latest build of vista last night... fell asleep mid install and only got a 2 min peek this morning without any display drivers installed - looks quite nice. I have too many OSes installed on my machine now lol - but XP Pro is still my main one - I have that + vista + xp pro x64 and thinking of building a cheap server for vista server

You have your opinion about SAV, but I get SAV free from work so why not use it? 40MB... oh, omfg... that's so much wasted resources.. I mean I only have 2GB of ram what else do you expect me to do besides use it?

I was merely pointing out that you are not going to get a lot done because vista does not work with a lot of common programs.

that's a fact that it's not possible even to detect sound card.. audio and video codecs are ready.. but "no audio device"..
