audi a4/a6 is over rated

i really dont understand how people think the a4 and a6 cars will scare away cars like the acura tl and lexus GS430. i laugh at them. they also say its high quality interior, the displays are small red led's similar to the BMW 3 series i find my self squinting to view the displays in the sun. there is a shitload of square and rectangular flat buttons buttons in a boring straight foward fashion and the A4 cabin is cramped pretty bad in that car for what you pay. in addition, the engines arent amazingly powerful but pretty decent. i know audi's have had a history of electrical problems but it has gotten a lot better.

what's so amazing about these cars? remember i am no bringing up the s4/s6/rs4/rs6, they are very solid racers IMO. mercedes delivers on interior at every range out of the major german manufacturers

Depends which A4... The newest one must be the comfiest car I have ever been it... (well RS4 which is a really aweomse car and nothign comes close for that price range... And WHAT an engine!!!)

And mercedes keep on breaking and falling apart... Audi does live longer and build quality is much better...

And don't get me started on Acruas and Lexus

so solid a drive.

driving i've heard is good, but in the power category it isnt top. but i dont get how their interior is amazing, i hate those buttons and displays its absolutely boring with all that red and black. but not the a8, thats a different story. very stiff car from the reviews ive heard and read though.

but audis have had a long history of electrical problems, they have gotten a lot better with that though. i dont know what mercedes fell apart on you, probably the world's best car in my opinion. honda's accord engine is probably the most religable and longest running engine, honda always wins awards in terms of efficiency and value and reliability. my old accord is still alive, the last problem was a brake job and needed a new battery but we sold it. and lexus is rated with the least number of problems, volkswagon was nowhere near first and still is not up there (volkswagon/audi same cars and engines).

edit - i've been driven in the last gen a4 and current a4. better performance and looks outside, still crammed back seat. check the reviews. and the interior is pretty much the same not a huge diff

they used to be world number 1 in quality 7 years aago... now, they are before last!!!

my bro's friend drive's a toureg, so one snowy canadian morning last year he was starting it up and it died. he tried lots of times and it wouldnt start. he had to take his gf's mini cooper instead in the snow, pretty funny if you ask me for a german car.

I agree. The a4 especially is extremely ugly, even though it's not a bad performer, but it's still ugly for what people are givin it. I sorta hate the car now, and the a6 isn't all that in looks either. But at least it performs. I think personally that the previous a4 and a6 looked much better.

Audi is for the "younger" of us who like to experience the pleasure of driving. Mercedes...well...you'll buy an Mercedes when you're old and you just want to drive comfortable.
I do like the new big mouth of the A4/A6, but Audi should have put the cars number plate not in the middle but on the side like Alfa Romeo does.

Saw that car at the mall and my friend, who drives a 2000 VW Jetta, said if Benz keep making cars like that, they're loosing their classic appeal of you get older, you get a Benz for prestige and stuff, you know, but I like that car too. And if the number plate were on the side, I think it wouldn't do good for aero dynamics.

It's ugly. To me it is. That picture just utilizes a lens that makes it cooler. Through my natural gel lenses it looks ugly. Sorry. But that's what I think of it. and you're not going to buy the highest in the range model when you buy one anyways so that very picture only applies to the minority who own the car.

audis do look good, and the s4 is an absolutely solid car. i just want to know why they choose such ugly interiors and say its high quality. yes the a8 is high quality, and the a6 isnt not bad. the a4 is terrible with the boring red LED's. the s4 performs like a mufucka!
