Install problems - crash

Hi
I can't seem to install the kx drivers for my sound blaster.
I uninstalled all of the creative stuff, then run the dowloaded exe file which goes through the install process. The when it's installing the drivers the computer crashes.
After restarting a message says the systems has recovered from a serious error.

I tried the lastest driver listed on this site but that tells me it can't detect any kx compatible devices.

My systems - Intel P4 3.0, 1gig ram, ati 9600 pro, soundblaster live - 24 bit.

What am I doing wrong?

I was hoping to use the kx as I have some serious problems with delay using nuendo and vst instruments

You could try the ASIO4All driver with the Creative driver.

You have captured my attention. Does this help with the latency issues experienced wit the sb live 24 bit?

Because after further reading, it appears the live does not support asio?

I take it this is the one you are referencing?

ASIO4all should help with latency issues. There is a FORUMS link at the ASIO4All site and a "Stuff That Works" discussion.

ASIO4all is pretty harmless anyway, it doesn't replace your current drivers so go ahead and try it out. The worst that can happen is that it doesn't help your latency problem and then you can just uninstall it.

Most people ignore the manual, probably a good idea to read through it so you know how to adjust settings in case you experience problems.
