Hey Omega!!
WEll first of all Hi to you all I found out about this site from Omegas website so HI!
I'm posting this to omega if he reads this forum because I have very little faith in ATI's ability to fix problems. so here it is...
Hey omega,
I've used your drivers since I had a radeon 7200 about 3yrs back and I must say I really love em. You've managed to fix the screw up in every ati driver release I've used and get better performance in the meantime so thanks! On to the point though. I've been over to Rage3d and theres a thread there about D3D stuttering wiht the radeon 9700's. I've noticed it in the 2.5's your revision of the 2.5's the 3.0's the 3.0a revision and with your 2.355's. Turning the acceleration tab down one "notch" in the control panel under troubleshooting fixes the stutter, but the mouse gets all gooey and it's hard to control. Also theres a program out there called 3d analyze which can be gotten here www.tommti-systems.de/, which has an option to fix the stutter in d3d and in OGL. It works but performance is really hit. I'm just wondering if you're aware of this, and if maybe you have a clue as to the cause and know how to fix it. Thanks for your time I hope I wasn't too big of a pain in the butt.
Later all if anyone else knows anything about this or if I've posted in the wrong forum, or broken a rul I apologize just trying to get a problem fixed thanks all!

His name is Omega drive here, not just Omega, so maybe that tripped you up... anyway, if you are interested, post a total of 10 times or more and you can enter our free ATI Radeon 9500 Giveaway - you have about 1 in 250 chances of winning There are ~275 entries right now, and a bunch of them are invalid (because they didn't have the 10 posts), so you have a damn good chance at winning this

Do I have to post ten times? Or do I need to set up ten threads? Thanks!

I like the Omega personally. They've worked better than the Cat3s...

I would also like to say that Omega's drivers have been awesome since I had my 7200.
Just one comment to the original poster. With either the lastest omega's or the 3.0a ati drivers I do not have stuttering (with a 8500). Have you tried Genius's uninstall/install guide?

omega rules
every time ATI squirts out a driver, I count the days till Omega puts the polish on it, why can't the factory fellers get a clue, the differences in porformance are dramatic during open GL games as well, and what about Cyborg man?

Cyborg has slacked off lately. He made a pseudo-announcement about it when I pinged him in a thread a few weeks back. Basically he's happy enough with the new catalysts that his particular brand of optimization is unnecessary - at least in his mind.

I have been around following this scene for quite a while, and have always enjoyed the new driver leaks, as I enjoy tinkering with my system. I anxiously await a new set from Omega, and am thankful for this site that you all provide.

Agreed. I like the new updated Cats quite a bit, but I'd like an Omega version of them more.
