I will try that one tonight...
although, I am worried by the fact that the script does not run until the wall paper is allready loaded...surely that's a bit late to load something that is needed for network drives?

you need to setup a script that'll copy them over every boot.
check the first post it shows which.

I gave the tweaks a shot after ghosting my drive.

It did not work for me, It gave me errors with my anti-virus(avast) and a few other apps, because they could not find the proper ports to connect.

I did however have connectivity.

HI FOLKS. I'm having a strange problem with cubase sx3...a pentium 3.4 windows xp system. At least 3 or 4 times a day my motu 828 soundcard erupts into this loud motorboat sound. I have to save, exit the song....sometimes exit cubase to restart. I don't know when this is going to happen..it seems random..Anybody else ever experienced this .I appreciate any advise.....Mac

OK I have been thinking of trying this..does it really give a noticable boost in performance? BTW What if I copied my favorite Audio editor to the Ramdrive would it perform alot better , I am assuming it would. I know it's alittle off topic but kinda not..thx for any info..

ramdisk for winxp MCE

i've been looking around for some time now all i found were some pretty dated utilities on these sites:The arsoft ramdisk is not in developement anymore and i was not about to install some old version by download on majorgeeks.com. I did however find some nice software for purchase through microsoft catalogue. However I want to try this ramdrive experiment before commiting to a permanent software purchase. Is there a compatable soft I can use,or a command script batch file to initialize a built-in ramdrive utility.
