new one... a bit boring?? or worth working on??
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jc.bush...ianomixnew.mp3
honest opinions.. is it worth the effort of continuing?
i kind of like it as but maybe thats cos one of the drums is me drumming live (and the rest is not good?) again its my usual style of going with a riff and building up on it?? this time a piano riff by a friend.
its got one drum wav in the mix thats not created by me (but copyright free) otherwise its either my musician friend (keyboard/hammond player in our band) and soundfonts.

Why not continuing?
I just listened to it with my brother and he said: "Really Lounge"!!!
I like it and think that with a couple more chords it just will sound great, .
Give it a shot...

I would not say boring, but it is a little repetitive.
I really like the drums, and I like the change ups.
It starts out nicely, but the piano line repeats a little too much, then the change at @1:25 is nice, but then the keyboard(?) repeats a little too much, and then at @2:25 it starts to get really interesting.
I think it is definitely worth continuing, I would just recommend changing up the repetitive parts a bit (nothing major, i.e. instead of repeating the exact sequence over and over again, add a couple of alternate sequences that sound similair but use a slightly different note ordering, or different timing, etc,)

As I listened - in the begining - I imagined it being the backing for a movies intro credits.
Then it turned into - backing music for a 'spy sneaking into CIA building' type scene in same 'hypothetical' movie.
Very Nice.
Russ and I obviously have similar taste - cuz I thought the drums were really good too.
And the repeating 'blips' added a bit of 'hi-tech mystique' to it. Thus why my mind when to a spy like movie vision.

Oh and CONGRATS on the future 'BABYBUSHELL' (I assume your real name Is Trevor Bushell - thus I added the last name like they do in hospital here when refering to an un-named baby)
And DONT let the wifey hear you say the word 'IT' - for best marital relations - use 'BABY' instead - LOL
Again - CONGRATS!.
*Passes Trevbushell a stiff drink - cuz he's gonna need one sooner or later*

Very goog track Trev! worth continuing and if you do so add a solo melody somewhere (I guess you know where). It was quite inspiring for me to play a trumpet solo again as I did with another track of yours. I like the repetitive piano rif, it is not a problem but in my own opinion a solo is needed(with a physical instrument sound).
The drum groove you're playing is very good to me!
Congratulations for your son. We'll have a new member on this forum in about 12 months.

Hi Trev:
Congrats on the child.
Russ took the words right outta my mouth with his 1st post, and Maddogg with his 1st.
This is worth continuing on! Thanks for sharing.
