rolleyes AIW 8500 - Need CD image

I lost my CD. Anyone know where I can download an iso image for an AIW8500? I tried buying one, but the 8500 doesn't appear to be available.

Yes, I know it's old.

What on the CD do you need? You might not need the whole image

I am running the ATICDWIZ and it is prompting for my ATI CD. I don't know what it needs.

The CD.... Don't know where you'd get one.

I have a 9800 and an X80)XT AiW disc if you want images of those for that purpose

Does it upload faster than 100 K/sec?

What I meant was does anyone have that kind of upload bandwidth.

My DSL has pretty high upload so I could possibly do it but I don't have that kind of bandwidth available to me for long periods of time

Per ATI's Tech support:

Per ATI's Tech support:
Download the driver and Multimedia Center files from www.atitech.ca ignore the DVD player/decoder file... go to https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...uestionID=1297 and download the 5.0 DVD player for the Rage Series (Win98)... it should ask for a CD Number. Use 180-V01029-100. You may or may not be able to continue without the CD, depending on how your systems setup. Once the DVD decoder's installed (if able), then install your downloaded DAO/MDAC (Catalyst) Drivers, REBOOT if prompted, then install the Media Center. It may prompt you stating that No DVD Decoder is installed, ignore it and continue... REBOOT!! Upon restarting windows, it should have the sidebar with all your AiW funtions on it... DVD should be at the top of that bar... Run it to be sure it comes up....

Hope this helps...

That would work but the DVD Decoder itself needs the CD to "Validate the install"

Just so you guys know. copying and giveing out a copy or uploading
a copy of the offical ATI disk maybe just like copying a game or windows
and distruting it.

Why? thier is a licence invovled hince the CD check. They pay
a licence or fee to cyberlink, they also used "CD check" to ensire
you have a BUILT by ati card. As other makers don't pay nor do
they get use of the decoder. thouh some people who bought 3rd
party cards try to get a hold of the disk to try.

contact ATI and puchace (as it will NOT be free, licence rember, as
well as a copying fee built in) a replacement CD. some are available
at shop.ati.com but you probubly need to contact them and check to
see what CD you need... as not all are listed at the website I'm sure...

another option buy a dvd decoder or use on of the FREE ones
avilable in things like the "k-lite" codec packs

Neon, the free ones are software decoders and quite frankly most of them suck. I see no problem in it if you've paid for the card...and want to use the DVD Decoder. Regardless of the application you use, the decoder is on the card itself which they own so how would that be piracy to get a driver for it? Thats why its ridiculous to me. I mean if they didn't have an ATI card it wouldn't do them much good....
