I hope they can get along. Not a huge console fan myself, but they do have their advantages. Might get a PS3 a year or so after it come out if it it any good. the 360 is completely unimpressive to me, seems like a waste of money and nintendo is in some big trouble, IMO.

I voted for "I like the expandability of the PC, and who the hell can play FPS on a console?"
I do like upgrading my pc when it needs it, on my schedule. Not to mention you can resell your old parts for usually a decent amount of money and put that money towards your upgrade. With consoles, when the new generation is out, the last generation isn't worth squat. Essentially the chop shop factor is the good thing about the pc.
I also would have voted for "PC rules ! consoles are for kids." and "I think they can all live together in perfect harmony." Most people I know who own consoles are younger than I am. Also, I don't see the PC or consoles going anywhere in our lives. They will both be around for a long time. Consoles might die but there are always new ones to replace them.

I think they'll wind up living together in harmony - someone in the house can be gaming while the other is posting at DH (while authoring a DVD and running a Serious Sam 2 server...) about the one playing games - ha ha!

PC all the way. I MUST have the control to be able to 'tweak' my game and consoles don't allow that. If I want to play with a 100 FOV and no music so be it. If I want to turn off some stupid 'feature' I can modify some file or .ini usually and customize my game play for me. Consoles.. you are stuck with what they think is best for you. How many times have you found a control scheme on a console so bad that the game becomes unplayable for you?.. never with the PC.
Let's add the extra content you can download and mod with PC games over console games and it's just not even fair. PC games come first and console second IMHO.

My vote: I think they can all live together in perfect harmony!
All my gaming were on console a few year ago, mainly due to not having a pc at the time..I certainly don't think gaming is for kids as a good majority of games is actually far more advanced in the more modern day games..and is a good stress release method.
But unfortunately at the same time i don't have any intention of getting hold of a xbox 360 or ps3...... im happy enough for the time being of pc games..but i don't see any reason not to have all three for most peaple who want to stay up on the future consoles also.

Voted "I like the expandability of the PC, and who the hell can play FPS on a console?"
Still, new consoles look really good and a console is a much cheaper gaming solution, so I just might have to learn. (to play FPS on a console)

Ok I admit it i'm sad I'll probably end up buying them all but in my defence I only have 4 PC's at home and not 5. No wait actually it's about time I finally started my PCI_E system. Aww hell. To be honest though i'll only buy the PS3 if the final fantasy games keep on coming out on playstation, hopefully with FF11 launching on the XBOX it bodes well for the future.

I'd totally agree 99.99% of the time but the 0.01 left over has to go to Halo 1&2.

Then again, one good point about the new consoles.. the PC ports will be better than the crappy ports we have been getting.

Wasn't sure what to vote, so voted that gaming sucks.
I've never owned a console, and don't use my PC for gaming all that much. I'll play through single player games once, and play multiplayer with friends when we get together with our rigs, but I never play online, and often go weeks between playing any games.

consoles are = fully intergated
basically outdated or under powered "PC's" in and non upgradeable package
the consoles are already outdated in terms of what you can get out of a PC
and in a few months they be pushed even futher behind.
Market was and is mainly ment for "children" k-12 though adults play as well...
as thier cheaper then a PC both adluts and teenages can afford them. What
they dont relise is when you turn around they get you on the games.
IMO consoles = to "web TV" box thier to specailzed to be good as a real PC.
In the future when you open a console it will evetually be a PC inside the box.
So tell me whos winning? (PC) especally when you need only 1 PC and some emmulators and you can have your self a station that plays all atari, nintendo, playstation, xbox etc...

exclusivites they would have 101% on PC if it wasn't thier creation and push
to make and keep market for them to rake in money.

I'm not sure what to vote.
I love my computers,
but get a crate of beers in, steal the kids gamecube and late night Burnout competitions on the big widescreen in the living room are good laugh. I actually managed to get my fiancee pretty hooked on a driving game!
think I'll have to go with all living together in perfect harmony.
