Life - Update
Well, talking to my fiance for a while now I have finally decided that I am goin into the Army. The job title I will train for is Counter-Intelligence Agent. I do have a decent Idea of what I am getting into because my bro is Army SS guarding Rumsfeld and my other brother was in 1st ID in Bagdad for 16 months. I have quite a lot of info why I should and should not go. I feel this is just something I need to do to set my life straight. I may ship out January if I can but it may be delayed later if I need to complete some extra things before I leave. I've also been through the entire process before but decided not to go because my recruiters got me the wrong job. I will idle on the Forums and give you guys updates when I can when I ship out, after my training, and pretty much anytime I can get a computer. I would also like to thank everyone for being patient with me (yes I know its hard).

You've chosen a right and honorable profession - one in which (for the most part) your excellence will be greatly appreciated by your peers, and your country. I know too that your faith has led you in part to this choice, as your job may be very dangerous at times - may the Lord bless you, your efforts, and keep you safe as you serve your country and the Greater Good.
Look forward to hearing from you here as you move onward with your military career!

Thank you guys for your support, it truelly does mean a lot to me. Though I hate MEPS (processing and such for 12 hours straight) : ) I know this is in fact the right decision. Once again thank you guys for your support. I think I need to go out to a range with my bro's magnum 500 to practice my shots. I'm still kinda thinking of the job title I want, I originally wanted to go Rangers or SF at 18 but I do not want to put my Fiance through many sleepless nights not knowin if I would come back or not. I'll probably stick with counter-Intelligence but I need to take my asvab again, last time I scored a 90 somethin.

After you get assigned is there a possibility that you'll still be able to post?

Cool stuff fosok. I remember reading your first posts in the flame warzone, and you were one of the pests in there, although your posts were still fun to read. Since then, we've seen quite the intellect coming from you. You're a great guy to have around here, and a definite boon in the gaming forum (this guy is the morrowind guru it seems ) Good luck with this leg of life, and make sure to drop in here once in a while...

Got two jobs now (+ time helping my friends business) so I'm real busy. I work at UPS and EB Games, they both are pretty cool jobs. At UPS I marchall planes and equipment, load and unload cargo and the such. EB is kick back though they pay is crap. I'll be on at nights though as these jobs and my fiance are taking up a lot of my time right now, we will probably get married before I ship off. Before you say anything yes I do love (whether any of you believe that or not) and the pay me 1300 more a month in the Army lwhen I ship lol.

dont be surprised if you get what you wish for, my own son-in-law is headed back to IRAQ as a duty driver for staff. My brother is completing his second tour in December and we hope to hear from him soon...
Take it from me, a combat veteran...- always always listen to your first sargeant....
- always always keep your bloody head down....
- keep your socks clean and keep your wits about you....
- know the difference between your rifle and your gun...
- keep your mouth shut unless you really have something to say.
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER AND LIVE BY IS- COURAGE
- DUTY
- HONOR
- LOYALTY
- INTEGRITY
- RESPECT
- SERVICE
regardless of what branch you may eventually serve these values hold dear and live by them...

Excellent advice from Falstaff, and I'll add just two more:
Never volunteer for ANYTHING, and NEVER EVER (especially if you happen to be in a combat zone) pass up a chance to get some sleep
You are about to embark on a great adventure. One, that when you look back on it in your later years, you will relish, and know that it was, with all it's ups and downs, when you truly became a man.
God less you, and may he be beside you though this great adventure.

Thanks for the support and advice guys. I kinda wish I could go into Special Forces but then I would have no chance of having a family. I know what I need to do and I know how I need to do it, all the advice and support really helps guys.
P.S. SSX my friend who is Ranger is 220 lbs and was a wrestler all through High School, He's a good man and tough as hell but he knows I'm faster than he is so he would not dare fight me (he told me that himself). We were supposed to go into Rangers together but life got in the way. I have also been taught infantry combat and MP combat by my brothers, I feel kind of bad for my family sometimes, they will have two of their Son's in the Army and one who was in Army. They got a nice statue though that shows a picture of 3 brothers from Vietnam standing next to each other.

most of my comrades have passed and I wonder if I had stuck with it if I myself would have eventually succumbed the statistical inevitability of death or injury...
again....
be careful what you wish for...
