Disapointing month...
Okay, I tried black and white 2... It's a fun game but I never liked the one much and this 2nd is good, but not my cup of tea.
Then I try age of empires 3... Again, the old ones were my faves but this new one was just, not that good.
How come no good games are coming out?
(even BF2 to me, though fun and I play it alot, ain't spectacular)

No good games? What are you talking about? I think your expectations are a little high.

I heard it was good. Any details that make the game stand out?

Still to come: X3: The Reunion, Quake IV, FEAR (technically), and AOEIII are all due next week, with Civ4 on the 25th. I wasn't impressed with Black & White, so I probably won't grab 2. I have FEAR and AOEIII, and I'm really looking forward to Quake IV, and X3 is a no brainer for me. I love the space sim/privateer genre, and X2 was great game.
I'm finding that I'm doing more console gaming these last 2 months than I have been PC gaming. At the moment the DS has my full attention with Castlevania, and the PSP, PS2, and Xbox have all had equal time.
PC gaming wise I was playing the AOEIII beta for a long time, and that's now been supplanted with the retail release. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta, and co-op Serious Sam II have also seen play time, yet I still can't find time to sit down and play FEAR, and won't until Wednesday at the very least (have 3 days of 16 hour shifts coming up with my side job).
All in all though it has been a pretty good month so far with console, handheld, and PC releases.. at least for me anyways.

Based on the IGN review of Q4 I think its going to be a big disappointment like Doom 3 was...maybe the multiplayer will save it?
Civ IV is due out this month too; i prefered Civ II to Civ III, but both were good. This is more of an incremental release though.
People are stating they finished FEAR in 8-12 hrs all over the web...doesn't seem like that game will have 'legs'. I haven't played the demo yet, but the concept (mind control of clones?) didn't seem great. But a solid engine will save that.

I said the exact same thing when i saw the screen shots, Just a Doom 3 Mod. I doubt the multiplayer will save it a reviewer said it seemed like they sacraficed a bit of multiplayer and focused more on single player. I won't be buying it.

The real problem with games that are coming out is that PC gaming has been dry for the last two months. Games coming out should taste like steak when their hamburger because we finally have some things to play. Though they dont. Its an even bigger let down.

Well have you ever had a steak burger?
Or a philly cheese Steak sandwich.
The US should impliment that all hamburger outlets sell steak instead of ground meat.

Well, even though Sandok doesn't like it, Serious Sam 2 was released, and it blew me away. Do yourself a favor and play through it coop with a couple of good friends on a LAN (internet is fun, but it's just not hte same effect).

met·a·phor- A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison, as in “a sea of troubles” or “All the world's a stage” (Shakespeare).
