I had dial up for a little while, before my cable provider started giving internet. At the time it didn't bother me because it's all there was. But then once I got cable internet, I realized how slow it was really going. My friend was using a College internet connection... 2KB/s!!!! I could never handle anything as slow as that....

Comcast is a bit expensive, I would switch to SBC Yahoo, which is cheaper than aol and frees a phone line, after a year, just cancel SBC and sign up with comcast again and get that deal. Poor man's way to go.

I had to use dial-up for about a month when we moved recently.
It was a bit of a pain in the ass to say the least.
On 2Mbps broadband now.
It's awesome!

After uprgrading to 3mb BB from 2mb BB with my isp after the press release from them last week.....(3mb will be upped to 10mb before the end of the year).
I would simply hate to see what dial-up access is like.....It must be a killer.

I got 20Mb for 29 a month. It's gonna suck when i move back to america to have to pay more for a slower speed. And I'd rather go without than go with dialup lol

Yeah, the difference between 512 dsl and 2mb was quite major.
Nowadays my porn's on the desktop before I've shut the browser window.

I've got 12 more months to go before I move from my parent's place to somewhere where real internet access is available.
At least I don't get many disconnects, usually my server will hold a dial-up connection for a couple days at a time.
