Are you going to wait on ATi's next generation video card?

I wouldn't mind picking up the GTX now. However, waiting on the R520 to come out to see how it compares. Also worried about Nvidia releasing an Ultra version at the same price as the GTX later.

I'm happy with my 6800 until Ati/Nvidia start reduce prices a bit, £400 is over my range for a Gfx chip.

Got an X800 XL within the last 4 months, won't be getting a new card any time soon.
Even if I was in line for a new card, the top of the line models aren't worth what they cost. Both ATI and nVidia, in my eyes, rip people off with those prices.

I just finished putting all I could into this current rig to stave off upgrading for another year,by that time an upgrade will be required anyway

I'm sticking with my 6600gt for now, I never spend more than $250 CDN on my video cards anyway. I probably won't be upgrading from my 6600gt until I can get a significant upgrade for a good price, along the lines of a 6800 ultra for $200 or less.

I'm curious to see R520 in action, but I'll stick with what I've got for awhile. I suppose the next geteration of cards will be PCI-E only, so it would be a really expensive upgrade.

I usually skip a couple gen's of vid cards before I upgrade. However this time, it might depend on how well it performs... ATI all the way though

I would consider it, but since I have a 6800GT and an SLI mobo, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to add another 6800GT.

I just got an X800XL because I got sick of waiting for any sort of official news on the new card. Not to mention I fear what it will cost after seeing the 7800GTX launch prices.

i wont be upgrading ever again =(
ill be saving my money for a leet pc when vista comes out.
i predict that if i starve my lunch money, and just keep it all and horde it in my room, in exactly one year, ill have $1300, + whatever i can sell from my current pc, so thats about $1800, then ill have an extra 4 months to save, so thats about $100, so ill have $1900... then i have birthdays which are $100, so thats about $2000.... enough for a uberleet pc when vista comes out
(ok, so its nowhere near enough.... Crys...)

I was wondering about that. So 'never again' would be about 'when vista comes out'... Makes sense.
